Art Therapy Workshops with Heidi Tournoux Studios
Temper tantrums, stress responses, and the inability to regulate emotions is just as common in adults, as it is in kids! This workshop will introduce participants to the process of felting, and we will use that skill to make a model of the brain, that can then be used to teach our kids, colleagues, partners about what is happening in our brains when we react out of sorts. Knowing these things about ourselves helps us have compassion for ourselves and others. Participants will leave the workshop with a working model, and new skills of felting to be used in many other applications. Our workshop host, Heidi Tournoux-Hanshaw is a board certified, registered art therapist, and a licensed professional counselor supervisor, and this workshop qualifies for 3 Texas LPC CEs, though everyone is welcome to participate, even non-CE seeking participants.
