Art Therapy Workshops with Heidi Tournoux Studios
Companion animals make up a huge part of many of our lives, and generally the good times outweigh the bad. This workshop will walk participants through the creation of their own felt companion animals. This can be a direct reflection of your own companion animal (bring a photo to reference) or a wish companion. Within the workshop, we will also discuss the various levels of animals in therapy sessions, when it is appropriate to include animals, and for our counselor participants, some of the legal and ethical considerations for including animals in sessions. Our workshop host, Heidi Tournoux-Hanshaw is a board certified, registered art therapist, and a licensed professional counselor supervisor, and this workshop qualifies for 3 Texas LPC CEs, though everyone is welcome to participate, even non-CE seeking participants.
