Art Therapy Workshops with Heidi Tournoux Studios
Every day, many Americans are put in situations where we rely on our appearance to help us express parts of ourself that are safe to share with the rest of the world. But what about the vulnerable parts of ourself that we are proud of, but we save for our safe people? Sometimes it takes an act of vulnerability to share these parts of ourself, but in this workshop, participants will use several techniques designed to creatively express those strengths that we tend to keep locked inside. Participants will learn some traditional techniques in portrait making, but with a therapeutic spin to create a finished non-traditional self portrait image. Our workshop host, Heidi Tournoux-Hanshaw is a board certified, registered art therapist, and a licensed professional counselor supervisor, and this workshop qualifies for 3 Texas LPC CEs, though everyone is welcome to participate, even non-CE seeking participants.
