Music Alley Festival is excited to help the Mansfield Arts Commission promote arts in our community, and celebrate it in every form.
Live Art Exhibition and Vendors: Check out a selection of artwork for sale at booths around the festival space, including our special guest Jimmy Don Holmes (http://www.jdhirondesigns.com/), a metal artist frequently featured on HGTV’s Fixer Upper, who will be on hand to meet fans and showcase his work. Additionally, artists from the area have been invited to participate in our live art exhibition, where artists will create a painting or mixed media piece during the festival. Guests can watch the masterpiece unfold in real-time, and purchase the finished product! Participating artists will also be given a booth to display their work and offer items for sale if desired. All Art Alley artists have been booked for Music Alley 2017.
Photography Contest: Budding shutterbugs ages 5-100 can submit digital photographs to the Music Alley Photography Contest for a chance to win special prizes, as well as the recognition of having your work on display at the event. Winning images may also be featured in future online promotions and will be displayed at City Hall or other select locations. Photographs can be people, animals or landscapes; anything the artist feels represents Mansfield to them. The entry deadline for the photography contest was 8/27/17. All submitted photos will be displayed during the Music Alley Festival.
Mural Alley: Hand painted murals will decorate the festival stages and streets. Enjoy sitting in a mural set and using some of our props to take a photo in front of each mural at the festival.
Our littlest artists have not been forgotten! The Kids Alley is jam-packed with activities for our tiny guests to stretch their creative bounds. Entertainment includes Magician Braden Daniels, Le Theatre de Marionette puppet show sponsored by the Texas Commission on the Arts, an interactive drum circle led by Rhythm Path and sponsored by Apex Percussion Studio and the Texas Commission on the Arts, record spin art sponsored by seven6realty, and a performance from School of Rock Fort Worth, who are also sponsoring an ‘Instrument Petting Zoo,’ where visitors can try out a huge selection of real musical instruments in a unique hands-on experience.
Come hungry! Music Alley Mansfield features a full selection of food and drinks from food trucks, vendors and a complete beer and wine tent. Food and drink vendors will accept cash and credit cards; ID is required for alcohol purchase. NO COOLERS MAY BE BROUGHT INTO MUSIC ALLEY. All Food Vendors have been booked for Music Alley 2017.
