Art Therapy Workshop
Cultural Kaleidoscopes: An Art Therapy Workshop Exploring Personal and Cultural Identity
Discover the beauty of your cultural narrative in “Cultural Kaleidoscopes.” This art therapy workshop offers a reflective space to explore and celebrate your personal and cultural identity. Through the creation of kaleidoscope-inspired art, you'll piece together elements of your heritage into a cohesive and colorful expression of self.
In this guided session, participants will engage in creative exercises designed to delve into the diverse facets of their backgrounds, experiences, and values. By assembling patterns, symbols, and colors that hold personal significance, each individual will craft a unique kaleidoscope artwork that serves as a visual representation of their cultural journey.
This workshop is open to adults of all backgrounds and artistic skill levels. Whether you're seeking to reconnect with your roots, understand your cultural influences, or simply express yourself creatively, “Cultural Kaleidoscopes” provides a supportive environment to explore and honor the mosaic of your identity.
Participants will be provided with all of their art materials, and will receive a continuing education certificate for attendance. Heidi Tournoux-Hanshaw is a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and this workshop will qualify for 3 hours of Continuing Credit for LPCs and ATR-BCs. Please check with your licensing board for qualifying credits.
